What happens to the details you send, in plain words.

Who is responsible for your details

Soton Sites is responsible for the personal details you send through this website. You can contact Soton Sites at sotonsites@gmail.com or on 07459 224520.

What the enquiry form collects

  • Your name
  • Your business name and type of business
  • Your phone or WhatsApp number
  • Your email address
  • Any links you add, such as Instagram, Facebook, a Google listing or a current website
  • What you tell Soton Sites about your business
  • How you would like to be contacted

Why it is used

Your details are used to reply to your enquiry and to build the free preview of a website you asked for. They are not sold, and they are not used for marketing lists. The legal basis is that you asked for this: the details are needed to take the steps you requested before any agreement.

Where it is kept

This website is hosted by Netlify, which receives and stores enquiry form submissions. A copy of each enquiry is sent to the Soton Sites email inbox, which is provided by Google. If you send a WhatsApp message, call or email instead, your message is handled through that service.

How long it is kept

Your details are kept only for as long as they are needed to reply to you and, if you become a client, to provide the service. After that they are deleted.

Seeing, changing or deleting your details

Just email sotonsites@gmail.com. You can ask to see the details Soton Sites has about you, have them corrected, or have them deleted.

If you are ever unhappy with how your details were handled, please get in touch first so it can be put right. You can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, atico.org.uk.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking.

The concept sites

The concept sites in the Work section load fonts from Google Fonts and photos from Unsplash, so your browser connects to those services when you open them. Google Maps only loads if you tap "Show map", and Google may then set its own cookies.
